Refund Policy

Clear answers about purchases, cancellations, and refunds.

Effective

1. How refunds work

DoThisLingo is operated by WorkBeaver Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 15911663. Our registered office is First Floor, 5 Fleet Place, London EC4M 7RD, United Kingdom. This policy explains how refunds work for purchases processed through Paddle.

Paddle is the authorised reseller and merchant of record for those purchases. Refund eligibility is governed by Paddle’s Refund Policy, its Buyer Terms, and applicable consumer law. DoThisLingo does not offer an additional money-back guarantee.

Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights, including rights relating to a faulty service or one that is not as described. A request does not automatically guarantee a refund; applicable withdrawal and other statutory rights remain unaffected.

2. Requesting a refund

Use the support link in your Paddle receipt or visit paddle.net and choose the refund option. You can also email [email protected] for help with a purchase or a problem using the service.

Include the email used for the purchase, your transaction or receipt reference, the purchase date, and a brief description of the issue. Do not send full card numbers, security codes, passwords, or sign-in links.

For technical problems, contact us so we can try to resolve them. You may also contact Paddle directly; contacting us first is not a condition of exercising statutory rights. Paddle processes approved refunds, normally to the original payment method where possible. The timing and applicable request periods are set out in Paddle’s policy; your bank or payment provider may affect when funds appear.

3. Withdrawal and consumer rights

Your location, purchase type, and circumstances can give you statutory withdrawal or refund rights. For some digital services, starting access with the required consent can affect withdrawal rights; this does not remove rights relating to a faulty or misdescribed service. Follow the applicable time limits and instructions in Paddle’s policy and any disclosures presented at checkout.

We do not impose a blanket “no refunds” rule. The consumer protections that apply to your purchase take priority over less favourable contractual wording.

4. Cancellation is different from a refund

Cancel future subscription renewals through Account → Plan and usage, the management link in your receipt, or Paddle support. Cancelling normally preserves paid access until the end of the current billing period and prevents future renewals. It does not automatically refund the current or an earlier period.

A 30-day Plus pass and an extra-practice pack are one-time purchases and do not renew. Their refund eligibility is assessed under the same applicable Paddle policy and consumer rights. An extra-practice pack is independent of a subscription and its unused allowances do not expire when a subscription ends.

5. What happens after a refund

An approved full refund removes access and remaining allowances associated with that purchase. A full refund of the current membership payment also cancels that membership’s renewal. Other valid purchases are not automatically removed. Partial refunds are reviewed individually to determine any effect on access. Offline access updates when the app reconnects.

Deleting your account cancels recurring billing as part of the deletion process, but does not automatically request or grant a refund. If you need refund assistance, contact us or Paddle separately. Deletion does not remove any applicable statutory right to request a refund.
